My desire to be creative goes way back to my childhood, when I was painting by numbers and making my own doll clothes.  I started experimenting with watercolors in high school, and I still enjoy it very much.  My father was an old time prospector, and I spent most of my childhood in the mountains, panning for gold and searching for rocks.  When I was in high school, he started a lapidary business, and I learned how to make beautiful cabochons from the rocks that we found.  He was always asking me what color certain rocks were because he was color blind.  I grew up reading "Field and Stream" magazines and spent time at gem and mineral shows, so I am not surprised that I love to paint nature and make jewelry.   I like to think that my handcrafted jewelry reflects the detail found in my watercolor paintings and my love of nature.

I started designing jewelry about four years ago, and I continue to enjoy the challenge and unlimited possibilities.  I strive to create wearable and affordable jewelry as unique and individual as the person who will wear them.  A lot of love, craftsmanship, and quality goes into each piece of jewelry that I make, and I find great joy in sharing my paintings and jewelry with other people.
