I have to start out by saying that I consider myself fortunate to have been blessed with a talent for art.  I have been interested in art since I was a young girl, and when I say art, I mean drawing, painting, sewing, crafts, etc.  I had a wonderful art teacher in high school and I took every art class that I could.  I also painted backdrops for our high school plays.  I had the opportunity to take drafting and architecture classes which came in handy, many years later, when my husband and I decided to design our own home.  In college I had the opportunity to study watercolor painting under a very talented and well known watercolor artist by the name of Dan Petersen.  I enjoyed entering my watercolor paintings in as many art shows as I could, and when I married and moved to Tracy, Ca., I had the opportunity to be in the very first Expressions art show seventeen years ago.  I met and studied watercolor under a very talented artist named Pamela Wilhelm, who was teaching classes in town. Since then, I have devoted my time to home schooling my two boys who have now graduated from high school.  During our years of home schooling I learned how to design and create websites and I still enjoy working on them.  I also  volunteered to do many backdrops for plays that my boys were in.  Now that I have more time now to pursue my art again, I have decided that I should get back into painting, and I don't mean on the walls, but watercolors.  I have also joined the Tracy Art League again and I am taking a watercolor class from Pam Wilhelm again.  I am interested in having prints made of some of my paintings someday.  I just entered three of my paintings in the Expressions 17th annual juried art show and all three of them got in, which I am very excited about it.  I feel that I am ready to move forward and start painting again.
